Kenpō graduated from the Kyōto College of Painting at a time when nihonga was the most popular painting style. Eleven examples of Kenpō’s flower and (or) bird paintings are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. He used the horizontal format for many of his paintings which was unusual for a scroll painter.
